Terms of Service

By accessing or using certify.ma, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are registering on behalf of an institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind the institution to these Terms.
1Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the certify.ma web application, APIs, and all related services.
- "Institution" refers to any educational organization (school, university, training center) that subscribes to certify to issue credentials.
- "Student" refers to any individual who receives, stores, or shares credentials through the Platform.
- "Credential" refers to any digital academic document (diploma, certificate, transcript) issued through the Platform.
- "Verifier" refers to any third party (university, employer, government agency) that checks the authenticity of a Credential.
2Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- Institutional accounts must be registered by an authorized representative of the institution.
- Student accounts are created through institutional invitation or self-registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
3Institutional Obligations
- Institutions are solely responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of credential data they submit.
- Institutions must have legal authority to issue the credentials they submit to the Platform.
- Institutions must maintain adequate records to support the credentials they issue.
- Fraudulent credential issuance will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to authorities.
4Student Rights
- Students own their credential data and have the right to access, share, and export it at any time.
- Students control what information is shared through selective disclosure share links.
- Students can revoke any active share link at any time.
- Students can request a complete data export in W3C Verifiable Credential JSON format.
5Verification Integrity
- Each credential is sealed with a unique SHA-256 cryptographic hash at the time of issuance.
- The Platform does not guarantee the academic merit of any credential — only its cryptographic authenticity.
- Verification results indicate only whether the credential data matches the original hash; they do not constitute endorsement.
- The Platform reserves the right to flag or suspend credentials that are the subject of fraud investigations.
6Subscription & Billing
- Institutional subscriptions are billed annually in Moroccan Dirhams (MAD).
- Pricing is determined by the institution's selected plan (Starter, Professional, Enterprise).
- Student access is free and is funded by the institution's subscription.
- Payments are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
- We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 90 days' written notice.
7Limitation of Liability
- The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We are not liable for any decisions made by third parties based on credential verification results.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the Institution in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure, cyberattacks, or third-party failures.
8Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco.
- Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Casablanca, Morocco.
- For EU-based users, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply where they provide greater protection.
